Badane Alu Uppittu | Brinjal Potato Uppitu recipe | Upma breakfast - dinner
Badane Alu Uppittu is a simple breakfast or dinner recipe, which is basically made with rava / semolina. Just by adding badhane/ brinjal and alu/potatoes, uppittu transforms to a very new and unique recipe that will also not require any accomplishments. It not only enhances its taste but also adds nutrients to it. Badane alu uppittu can be an ideal for dinner as well.
Now lets not prepare just plain uppittu, which is disliked by many only because of its blandness. We shall go for badane alu uppittu/brinjal potato uppitu. There are many varieties of Uppittu we make at homes. I will surely post all of them. This one being favourite amongst all varieties, apart from the veggies, mild spices also go into this to make it flavorsome unlike the plain uppittu.
Plain uppittu cannot be eaten by itself, it needed accomplishment like sugar, pickle or kesari bath, these two : Uppittu and Kesari bath together (in combination) is also known popularly as "chow chow bath" throughout Karnataka.
Many who want to eat some steaming hot food at the same time very very light food, prefer this recipe, quick to make and easy for digestion: and not missing veggies. Good for packing on lunch box.
Thanks for my grandma who would make this on all or most of the festive days to finish breakfast cooking sooner and go ahead with elaborate special festive delights, try this delicious recipe and serve it hot . Once eaten even those who cringe their faces on hearing uppittu would relish and fall in love with it ..:)
