Bendekaya dry fry is the simplest recipe and quickest one too. Ingredients used is only chilli powder and salt to taste. These two simple ingredients added imparts tremendous taste to ladies finger. Bendekaya dry fry makes a perfect combination for any sambar rice, rasam rice and curd rice. Full ladies finger is used with the slit for this recipe. Do try this just 2 ingredient recipe on any lazy day.




One's favorite vegetable does vary from person to person, but we know ladies finger will be the top most in the list of most people. Any language you call this vegetable this does not lose its lovers all over. This is the vegetable loved by all - young to old. So tasty in any recipe. Hence we have so many varieties of Bendekai / bendekaya recipes.

Though lady's finger made with same ingredients in bendekai palya  do not taste the same as this recipe. There is complete change in taste between this recipe and Bendekai palya recipe.

I love ladies finger / bendekaya in Bendekai Sambar, Bendekai gojju, Bendekai palya or just simple Bendekaya dry fry recipe.

Today being saturday and no mood to cook this happens sometimes to all i guess I just made this Bendekai fry and served with curd rice. I was surprised to see we all had a satisfied meal today, that's only because of the spicy bendekaya dry fry tasted tremendous with sweet and soar curd rice. 

I wanted to share this recipe immediately, you can try this simple recipe any time, this can be an instant side dish.

Cuisine: Indian / South Indian

Cook time: 10 minutes


Ingredients for Ghee rice

  1. Bendekai / Ladies finger  - 1/4 kg  
  2. Chilli powder - 2 teaspoons
  3. Turmeric powder - 1/4 teaspoon
  4. Oil - 2 tablespoons

Instructions  

1. Wash and dry wipe Bendekai / ladies finger in kitchen towel

2. Remove the ends and slit in the middle of each bendekaye

3. In a small bowl mix chilli powder, turmeric and salt 

4. Add little water and mix the powders well

5. Fill in the bendekai with the mixture and keep aside

6. Heat oil in pan, add the ladies finger

7. Saute until bendekaye is cooked 

8. Ready to serve 


Note:

Wash and dry ladies finger before cooking 

Bendekai is cooked only in oil. So, if needed can add some more oil

How to make Bendekaya dry fry recipe | Ladies finger dry fry recipe

1. Wash and dry wipe Bendekai / ladies finger in kitchen towel

2. Remove the ends and slit in the middle of each bendekaye

3. In a small bowl mix chilli powder, turmeric and salt 

4. Add little water and mix the powders well

5. Fill in the bendekai with the mixture and keep aside

6. Heat oil in pan, add the ladies finger

7. Saute until bendekaye is cooked
